Wanting to turn your passion into your business and not sure where to start? Here are some helpful tips to get you on your way: 1. Have a product or service to sell. 2. Write down your ideas such as your business name what services you offer, items you carry, and so forth. Figure out what your customer market would be, check out other sites to get ideas and pricing for your local market. 3. Take action! Once you decide on what to call your business and what it will be and have thought of your name. Check your Secretary of State online to see if the name is available. You should also research what type of entity you want your business to be such as an LLC., sole proprietor, or corporation. They normally have info available on the site as well but once you decide you can check the name and get your Secretary of State. Get your EIN!! It’s free online and costs nothing!! Open up a business account once you have your EIN and Secretary of State you can complete this. 4. Don’t forget to advertise! Social Media is mostly free. Business cards, flyer, logo. 5.Hire experts! You may not be able to do everything. Be prepared to get help! 6. Use free and low cost options when starting out. Free invoicing/scheduling: square app for example. Fees assoc* Logo apps available such as canva and others right from your smartphone! PayPal is great. Some pmt processing fees associated but free to set up.
